PROBLEMS
Members involved in any difficulties whether professional
or legal, arising out of their professional duties, are urged to seek advice
without delay. Members would be wise to make no statements until advice has
been sought. Ring your local association caseworker (see below).
In particular it is unwise to make statements to the Police about school based
incidents without advice.
In the event of a serious accident to a pupil, whilst in the care of a member,
the member must seek advice from Regional Office or a Local Secretary immediately,
prior to completion of any written details on an Accident Report form.
If you need urgent advice and you are unable to contact a local association
caseworker then you should contact the Regional Centre

MEETINGS
Meetings will be held every term and repeated
at three different venues to ensure that one takes place near you.
Your Executive would welcome any suggestions for topics to be covered or venues
that you consider suitable.
In addition we will be running a series of discussion forums for school reps
to ensure that this vital role is supported.
If you would like a member of the Executive to attend a meeting in your school
we would be very pleased to do so.
